Choosing Your Battles


Sometimes our feathers get ruffled. Could be our kids, partner, co-worker, friend. Someone does something or says something that makes us angry 😤 and our first instinct is to throw down the gauntlet and fight it out.


Sometimes it’s a good idea. And sometimes it’s not. Knowing the difference will really help you to either let it go or work it out. Here’s some questions to as to help you choose your battles wisely:


📆 Will this matter in 1 month? In a year? In 5 years?

💬 Did I simply misread their tone? (Common when it comes to texting and emails.)

⏰ Are there more important things for me to spend my time and energy on?

🤗 Can this be resolved quickly?


Only you know the situation and the other person involved, but hopefully these prompts will help you decide of it’s a battle worth fighting or if it’s something to just let go of so you can get back to enjoying your day!
