You fueled up before a workout, gave it your all, and now you need to eat something to help your body get stronger. But what do you eat and why? 🧐
🧆 Lean protein is a good choice because it helps repair the cells in our muscles and encourages quick growth of lean muscle mass.
🥯 Carbs are good because they promote glycogen storage. Glycogen is what gives us energy during really intense workouts. When it’s gone, we tend to run out of steam so storing up glycogen means we’re able to go hard tomorrow.
🍵 Some research indicates that herbal tea after a workout can help your body process the carbs and protein more effectively and don’t forget to drink lots of water!
